The most beautiful and peaceful bnb you could choose for Ashland. So close to downtown (only 7 minutes) and very private considering how close it is.
The Vienna bedroom was the perfect size and included all of the amenities you would need to be comfy. Not to mention we had our very own balcony with the prettiest view of the back of the chateau, its gardens, and the mountains. Definitely planning on returning to Ashland and staying here again!

I waffled for a bit about whether to leave 4 or 5 stars. There were some heating issues with our room, and we were bouncing around quite a bit. But our host was very prompt in responding to the issue. And in the end, our stay was truly marvelous. The chateau was gorgeous, our rooms were comfortable, and the surroundings were right out of a storybook. I would visit again without hesitation. So five stars it is :)

Such a pretty place to stay. Host replied in a timely manner and all instructions on how to check in were very clear. It was a great experience and we will definitely be back !

My partner and I enjoyed the spacious Oberon suite. The bed was comfortable, and the place was nice and quiet at night. I really enjoyed the beautiful main area of the Chateau, especially the knight room, and walking the beautiful property. The hot tub was the perfect temperature, and the sauna was amazing.
Esther was quick to respond to any questions, and the housekeeping staff were warm and friendly.
I miss being there already.

Such a treat to stay at this beautiful location. The grounds were well maintained, and the interior well kept with thoughtful amenities. The apartment was very spacious and well stocked. Esther was extremely accommodating and proactive. Was so relaxing enjoying the hot tub and sauna! 100% would recommend a stay.

We’re local to Ashland and decided last minute to stay here for the night to celebrate our anniversary and get away from the kids. It felt like a quick trip to a European villa. It was quiet, and peaceful.
Couple drawbacks- 1: the thermostat in the room didn’t do anything, it’s December so I’m glad it didn’t get too cold, but I sleep cold so i woke up in the early morning to put on a sweater in order to sleep longer. 2: in the morning there was a smoke detector it alarm system beeping every minute in the lobby, we didn’t hear it in our room so that was fine. 3: I think the wall across from the sauna needs to be painted with a mural or tiled with Portuguese azulejos or just a few plants - it was kind of dreary.
Overall great! And have already recommended it to friends.

This place was beautiful, peaceful and serene. Check in and communication was easy. We arrived late with some neat fog and a small herb of deer to greet us. The place was comfortable and clean. Waking in the morning to spectacular views was so nice. And down stairs coffee and château was perfect. Thank you so much. Looking forward to returning at this air bnb.

Beautiful and picturesque location. The Castle is lovely and the Shakespeare suite both luxurious and comfortable with sumptuous king bedroom and fireplace. Don’t miss out on this beautiful accommodation with walkable gardens and gorgeous views just minutes from downtown Ashland.

We had a nice time at the chateau. Esther was super responsive when we had questions and clearly cared about our experience. The suite was comfortable and quiet, the room stately, with a large bathroom, nice kitchen, and dinning room. We thought that the kitchen and dinning were shared with other guest, but figured out they are not and are available to the suite occupants only. We did not find the jacuzzi and sauna, as we were busy. The main chateau has a nice coffee bar and a comfortable sitting room. The history of the place is a pretty amusing, and there are books about the construction you can read if interested. We recommend the chateau. I expect that the grounds are prettiest in the spring and summary, when all is blooming and green. We'll come back.
