Such a treat to stay at this beautiful location. The grounds were well maintained, and the interior well kept with thoughtful amenities. The apartment was very spacious and well stocked. Esther was extremely accommodating and proactive. Was so relaxing enjoying the hot tub and sauna! 100% would recommend a stay.

We’re local to Ashland and decided last minute to stay here for the night to celebrate our anniversary and get away from the kids. It felt like a quick trip to a European villa. It was quiet, and peaceful. Couple drawbacks- 1: the thermostat in the room didn’t do anything, it’s December so I’m glad it didn’t get too cold, but I sleep cold so i woke up in the early morning to put on a sweater in order to sleep longer. 2: in the morning there was a smoke detector it alarm system beeping every minute in the lobby, we didn’t hear it in our room so that was fine. 3: I think the wall across from the sauna needs to be painted with a mural or tiled with Portuguese azulejos or just a few plants - it was kind of dreary. Overall great! And have already recommended it to friends.

This place was beautiful, peaceful and serene. Check in and communication was easy. We arrived late with some neat fog and a small herb of deer to greet us. The place was comfortable and clean. Waking in the morning to spectacular views was so nice. And down stairs coffee and château was perfect. Thank you so much. Looking forward to returning at this air bnb.

I’m not great at writing reviews but this one is definitely needed in the best way possible! I’m local to southern oregon and didn’t even realize this place existed for almost 10 years lol. I only reserved 1 night in the Vienna Room but the property and hospitality was so incredible that we are making Esther’s place a 📍 in our air bnb lists! We will definitely be returning! The place is so beautiful, open, and private! My friend enjoyed our balcony view the most. Esther really does take care of her guests even in the closests you’ll find fans, space heaters, extra bedding etc. We also really appreciated the size of the TV in the room (isn’t a small mini tv) AND she provides a mini fridge AND microwave and I’m sorry but tell me why that combo is so hard to find nowadays without paying a fortune! Idk my experience at least! She’s also incredibly responsive and caring and eager to assist with any concerns or questions. If I could rate more than 5 stars I truly would!

There is no place in Ashland like Chateau Herbe, in fact you'd probably have to go to France to find a chateau like it. Gorgeous, pristine acreage surrounding it, we will go back again!

Perfect location. Very large studio apartment. A little noisy with windows open from the highway. But with windows closed, can't hear a thing. Had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

Chateau Herbe is a special place to stay. Clean and tidy room, use of the whole building. Hot tub and sauna, and located in the beautiful Oregon town of Ashland.

My wife and I chose this beautiful location because it placed us in between Mount Shasta National Forest and Crater Lake National Park. Getting to the property from Interstate 5 was easy. After entering the gate code you drive onto a fabulous, well manicured property with a European landscape design. Our apartment was located in a separate building just to the right of the main facility. We maneuvered a flight of stairs to our second story apartment. We felt extremely secure at this Airbnb since codes are required for the perimeter gate and apartment. You enter the open floor apartment into the living room and kitchen; the bedroom is separated by a wall. This clean cute lodging was more than adequate for our 3 night stay. Esther communicated with us the entire time (by email) making sure our stay was enjoyable. I would rebook this property if we return to the area.
